Auguste Pelletier (active between 1800 and 1847), a French artist, became an important figure on the art market thanks to his scientific illustrations of birds.
A French artist, he spent his entire career in London, where he painted mainly birds, flowers and landscapes. He was exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Old Watercoulour Society and the Royal Watercoulour society.
The majority of his works are scientific watercolors depicting different species of birds and detailing their main characteristics. However, he also produced ensemble compositions depicting birds in a landscape.
Very little is known about his life and artistic training to date.
