Its design inspired many other countries in the development of their own military helmets.

World War II helmets

During World War II, Nazi Germany introduced the M35 helmet, which was an improved version of the World War I Stahlhelm. This helmet was made of steel and featured an inner lining for greater comfort. It was also painted dark gray for better camouflage on the battlefield.

Post-war and Reunification

After the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945, the country was divided into two separate states: the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). West Germany's helmets were based on the American model, while those of East Germany were similar to those of the Soviet Union.
