The life of Francis Renaud
Francis Renaud (1887 - 1973) was a French sculptor.
Born in Saint-Brieuc, he was interested in drawing from childhood and took evening classes at a specialized school. In 1903, he entered the École des Beaux-Arts de Rennes to continue his training, then the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1905, where he continued to learn painting in the studios of Luc-Olivier Merson and Fernand Cormon.
His studies were interrupted by his military service, but he then resumed sculpture classes at the Beaux-Arts de Paris alongside Jean-Antoine Injalbert.
After fighting under the French flag in the First World War, he returns permanently to Brittany, where he prefers to work.
He exhibits regularly in Paris at various salons.
