The career of Émile Bracquemond    

Émile Louis Bracquemond (1889 - 1970), comes from a family of artists : his uncle, Félix Bracquemond, was an accepted and sought-after medalist. He was also the grandfather of Agnès Bracquemond, also a sculptor.

Little is known about his life, including the sculptors with whom he trained and where he studied. At one point in his career, he collaborated with the Manufacture de Sèvres.

His work finds echoes in sculptors of the same period, such as Paul Jouve, who made extensive use of the panther figure.
